If your Smart Box loses power, you will receive an alert that it is now operating on battery backup power.
The backup battery lasts for about 2 hours. It keeps the lock functioning and allows the box to stay connected to the HomeValet platform via WiFi, providing that WiFi access is still available.
The backup battery will not power the Smart Box’s cooling system, so you should remove any perishable items as soon as possible if you are experiencing a prolonged outage.
