In the event that you are not receiving notifications when your Smart Box takes a video, try checking your notification settings.
There are two types of notification settings that you need to configure in order to receive video notifications: OS (operating system) level settings & in-app settings.
OS Level Settings
At the OS level, you want to make sure that:
- You enable Notifications on your phone
- You enable Notifications for the HomeValet app
- You don't have 'Do not disturb,' 'Focus,' or any other scheduled notification settings enabled
In-App Settings
There are also notification settings in the HomeValet app that determine what type of events you receive notifications for.
Video notifications are an 'Alerts' level 'Security' notification, meaning that you will receive them by default, regardless of what settings you choose.
