What is a Smart Box event?

Any time the HomeValet platform notices something happening with your Smart Box, it sends you a notification and records a 'Smart Box event.'

You can find all of the events tied to your Smart Box in the Smart Box History section of the HomeValet mobile app.

Here is a list of the kinds of Smart Box events that you will see in your Smart Box's Event History:

Red electrical plug icon with a red slash through it Box on battery power - your Smart Box lost power and switched to the backup battery

Green electrical plug icon Box power restored - your Smart Box regained power following an outage

Red Smart Box icon with a red exclamation point in the center Box was tampered with - someone attempted to open your Smart Box while it was locked

Red Smart Box icon with a red arrow in the center Interior release pressed - the Smart Box’s interior release was activated 

Blue Smart Box icon with closed lid Box lid closed - someone closed your Smart Box

Blue smart box icon with opened lid Box lid opened - someone opened your Smart Box

Blue locked padlock icon Box locked - someone locked your Smart Box

Blue unlocked padlock icon Box unlocked - someone unlocked your Smart Box

Blue video camera icon New video captured - the Smart Box captured a new video

Blue thermometer icon Box set to Package/Grocery/Vacation mode - the Smart Box’s temperature mode changed 

Red thermometer icon Temperature outside range - the temperature in one of the Smart Box's compartments was outside of the safe range for the selected temperature mode for more than 1 hour
