It is normal for the compressor to turn on and off frequently if it is hot outside or if you’ve recently added items to your Smart Box.
If the compressor is activating more than expected outside of these scenarios, then there may be a few causes:

- The lid has been opened too often or was not properly closed.

- Check the seal and package distribution to make sure the lid closes completely.
|
- There is not enough clearance around the Smart Box for adequate ventilation.
|
- Move the Smart Box to a more open location.
|
- Debris is blocking the external vents on the side and back of the Smart Box.
|
- Visually inspect vents and remove any debris if found.
|
- You recently plugged in the Smart Box after a period of disconnection.
|
- The Smart Box requires two (2) hours to completely cool from ambient temperatures.
